Testing Options
- Remote Proctoring on a desktop/laptop - Please click here for an overview
- Exam can be taken at any time
- Requires you to install software
- Cannot be taken on iPhone, Tablet, SurfacePro or Surface Book
- In person at MHACBO Office in Portland
- MHACBO will send you a scheduling link, can take exam with-in 48 hours of approval
- MHACBO provides everything needed to take the exam
Preparing for the Exam
Recommended Study Material for QMHA I & QMHA II Exam
Exam composition
- Exam Time - 2 Hours
- 80 Questions - Multiple Choice
- QMHA I score of 70% is required for passing
- QMHA II score of 70% is required for passing
Recommended Study Material for QMHP Exam

- Exam Time - 3 Hours
- 125 Questions - Multiple Choice
- QMHP score of 70% is required for passing
Exam Results
Passing the Exam
- Upon completion of the exam, you will receive your results instantly.
- If special testing accomodations are required, please submit this information in writing to MHACBO, and we will communicate it with our testing company.
- Please allow up to 2 weeks for official results to be scored and for remote proctoring testing video to be reviewed
- People who pass will receive a QMHA/P, valid for 2 years from time of entry into the Certemy software
- A QMHA/P renewal will be assigned to your Certemy account, this renewal is due in 2 years.
Failing the Exam
- Exam can only be attempted once in a 30 day cycle
- If you do not pass the exam, please reach out to MHACBO to discuss re-test options
