CGRM - Renewal Requirements

The CGRM requires 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years. 

To ensure sufficient time to process your renewal packet, please submit renewal form in Certemy at least 2 weeks before expiration. 

CGRM Renewal Log

• The 20 hours of continuing education must include the following.  All education hours must be accredited or approved by a recognized/approved accreditation body. Education hours must include the topical areas of:
  • 6 Hours of Ethics
  • 2 hours of Suicide Prevention (click here for list of free/low cost courses)
  • Category I: Gambling Counseling Education -  14 hours
    • Gambling Treatment Education
    • Treatment Planning
• A renewal fee of $100 is required
• MHACBO will accept virtually all counseling related Ethics Courses
